About Us

Gourmet Express is a proud local catering and takeaway restaurant in Toowoomba. We’ve been in business for more than 15 years, providing delicious homemade food to residents of the city, local businesses and out of town visitors.

John and his two sisters opened the business together. Together, the three work alongside a close family friend. Gourmet Express was founded because of the family’s love for meeting new people and creating healthy, fresh and delicious food in the city we love.

  • DO YOU HAVE GLUTEN-FREE MEALS?

    Yes! All meals and snacks on our takeaway and catering menus can be made gluten-free upon request. Make sure you let us know while you’re placing an order. We can also accommodate other dietary requirements, including lactose intolerance, dairy-free, vegetarian, vegan and allergen-free meals (nuts, eggs, soy, wheat, etc.).

  • WHAT KIND OF HOT MEALS DO YOU OFFER?

    For our catering service, we offer made-to-order hot meals of your choice. Let us know what you’d like and we’ll tell you if we can make it or not. Think pasta, quiche and lasagne!


    We also have smaller hot savoury snacks of your choice, rather than full meals. Our gourmet savouries are made to order, so just ask us and we’ll let you know if we can do it.

  • WHERE DO YOU PROVIDE CATERING SERVICES?

    We’re located in Toowoomba and we provide catering services all around the area. 


    You can order catering from anywhere if you opt to pick it up from our store. Many businesses from out of town order catering from Gourmet Express when they’re coming to Toowoomba for a meeting or event.

  • DO YOU OPEN FOR PUBLIC HOLIDAYS?

    At this point, we do not open for public holidays. As a small family-owned restaurant, we don’t have to staff to stay open every day or to work through every holiday.

  • CAN I ORDER ONLINE?

    Unfortunately, we don’t offer an online ordering system at this time. Feel free to give us a call, send an email or stop by to place your catering order.
